This year for Easter favors for my son's class we made Carrot Treat Cones. They were easy to make, super cute and perfect for this time of year!
Supplies :
* Patterned paper ( if you can't find orange polka dot, you could use a stripe, check, solid, etc, )
* Green fringe trim
* A coordinating ribbon for handle
* Scissors, tape, glue dots, stapler
Step 1 : Draw your cone pattern on the backside of your paper
Step 2 : Cut out your patterns.
Step 3 : Roll your pattern into a cone and then tape it together along the outside seam.
Step 4 : Measure your fringe so that it fits around the top edge of your cone. Cut it and then staple it or hot glue it around the top.
Step 5 : Cut a strip of your ribbon about 12-16" long. With glue dots, staples, hot glue, etc., affix your ribbon to opposite sides of your cone on the inside. This serves as your handle. Finished!
Final step : Fill your carrot cone with treats and goodies!
Not only are these treat cones the perfect gift for classmates, they are also great just for spring remembrances for friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. They could be hung on the back of chairs at a brunch, or as place markers set in the center of dinner plates. They also could be left "hanging" around the house on Easter morning by the Easter bunny. Use your imagination! The possibilities for these cute little cones are endless!
Wishing you peace, love and a little pixie dust,
-Kendall-
